About accepting credit and debit cards in aACE

aACE can process credit and debit cards through a system integration with XCharge Payment Processing. This integration eliminates the need for duplicate data entry and external card processing terminals.

Processing Overview

There are three steps involved with processing charge cards in aACE.

  1. Card verification. This process verifies the card can be used. For credit cards, it also stores the alias in aACE.
  2. Charge authorization. This process verifies that funds are available to cover the charge.
  3. Charge processing. This process captures the charge amount against the card.

Credit Card Information

Credit card numbers are NOT stored in aACE. Instead, aACE stores an alias that is assigned by the credit card processor along with the credit card type, last four digits of the card, the expiration date, and the billing address.
