Adding and using notes

Notes are a very useful feature in aACE. Notes can be entered for a record or a line item and can be used to store miscellaneous information. In some cases, notes entered in one record will carry over to related records. For example, a note entered on a line item in an order will carry over to the line item in the related invoice and shipment records.

To add a note:

Simply click the notepaper icon Note_paper.png and start typing.  

Below is a sample of an order with a line item note:


If a note exists, the notepaper icon appears in yellow. If no note exists, the icon appears in white. In the screen shown below, you will see a number of note fields with references to their flow.


Below is an example of a line item note flowing to the related invoice and shipment records.
